It is important for me, as a part of this special day, to work closely with couples, as they take one of the most important journeys of their lives.

I feel equally comfortable standing and speaking casually, barefooted in the ocean, as I do addressing a venue full of people - ensuring the couple and all guests are at ease no matter the location. Catering for people from different cultures and walks of life is always a privilege and it is a joy to bring everyone together on these special occasions.

There is no better place to celebrate the joining of a couple than the beautiful Taranaki and as a country girl at heart I am in awe of our beautiful province and the many hidden sanctuaries here. I know that we are indeed blessed for a choice of ideal venues for special functions.

I am able to support and aid you with the important decisions on your day after meeting with you to discuss any dreams and aspirations you may have. This includes giving advice on your vows. Manu Haven Garden Wedding

You're searching for the ideal venue for a memorable intimate ceremony to seal your love? I'm excited to offer my beautifully landscaped garden as a wedding venue.

Meander down the paved pathway to the secluded private subtropical garden for your romantic meaningful ceremony, accompanied by birdsong.
After the ceremony and photos relax with your guests and enjoy the garden surroundings.
Professional photos to capture the fun of your special day - by Sandra from Antill Photography - this covers the ceremony and bridal portraits up to one hour.

PACKAGE TWO

Registry Marriages

A registry wedding is a no frills ceremony. As a Validated Member of Celebrants Aotearoa New Zealand I have been appointed by the Department of Births, Deaths, and Marriages (BDM) to officiate Registry Marriages. These have a set script provided by BDM, and standard legal vows. The couple provides two witnesses, a maximum number of 8 guests and the ceremony must be conducted on a weekday. The celebrant fee is $90.

Enjoy my beautifully landscaped garden for up to 30 minutes, or a venue of your choice within the New Plymouth District area.

Legalities

Your marriage licence is valid for three months and can take up to one week to be processed. Apply for a marriage licence online.

Funerals

Whether the ceremony is a funeral, farewell service, a celebration of life, a memorial service or a wake, it is a powerful and often painful rite of passage that signifies a farewell, a time of letting go and the beginning of a new relationship with the person who has passed.

My role is to make sure that everyone in your family and community will be honoured by creating a cherished time where love and friendship, life and death will be celebrated.

I believe a ceremony is about creating a safe space where the individual's life can be honoured and affirmed. It is important to acknowledge the person's beliefs and values, their stories and personality, the essence that made them unique, giving space for the expression of all that was felt for the person who has passed. It can also offer an opportunity to acknowledge and embrace the grief, sadness and loss that family and friends are experiencing.

It is a privilege and honour to work alongside families during this significant time. I can ensure highly professional, respectful and empathetic services with a delicate blend of sensitivity, confidence and compassion for the family while I support you to farewell your loved one.

Support I offer includes meeting with family to discuss the order of service and requirements. Along with this I will write a draft service that can be tailored to your wishes, incorporating any meaningful or relevant readings. I will also personally liaise with the funeral director, familiarising myself with the surroundings, helping with music and other details that will help ease your day.
